Dr. T.K.S.Lakshmi was a former Dean, faculty of education at the Banasthali Vidyapith Rajasthan. She served as a teacher, professor and researcher for several years. She has more than 30 years of experience in the field of education and she has conducted several education research projects and programs related to teacher education and training. She was an active member of center for advanced studies at the University of Baroda. The deliberation was scheduled in light of the new draft version ‘National Policy on Education’ (NPE) that was unveiled in July 2019. The discussion focused on the importance of National Policy, the Key changes Proposed in the NPE, Implication of NPE for School and Teacher Education etc. The group also discussed how Agastya can contribute to refining the policy and its implementation on ground. Along with Agastya educators, faculty from NID also participated in the discussion.
